Naturopathic Medicine is a distinct primary health care profession that focuses on treating the whole person, not just isolated symptoms. It combines the centuries-old wisdom of natural treatments with research and conventional methods to fully address the root cause of disease.

Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) are experts in natural modalities and focus on preventing illness and restoring health. NDs understand that our bodies have naturally-occurring defense systems in place to keep us alive, fight disease and heal our bodies. Stress, lack of sleep, poor diet and environmental toxins can push the body out of balance and make it difficult to defend against disease. NDs use a wide range of therapies including lifestyle and dietary changes, nutritional supplementation, botanical medicine, homeopathy and hydrotherapy to support your body from the inside out.

NDs are trained to utilize prescription medications and minor surgery when necessary. The ultimate goal is to maximize health and quality of life, so that you can enjoy your life to the fullest!

NDs practice according to the 6 Principles of Naturopathic Medicine.  These principles are what distinguish naturopathic health care from the conventional approach.
